ASMR

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response—ASMR—is often used as an aid to help with relaxation, stress and anxiety reduction, pain reduction, and sleep.

Recent research has shown that engaging with and watching ASMR videos and media can bring about physical sensations of tingling accompanied by feelings of relaxation, calm, and well-being.

ASMR uses white noise types of sounds as well as visual situationals (such as the point of view of  “close proximity” to the viewer; the use of role play to simulate an aspect of grooming, e.g., getting a facial or having one’s hair done; speaking in a whispering, quiet tone; the use of objects) to  help improve sleep, ease feelings of stress and anxiety, and manage chronic pain. The use of sound, however, is the ASMR trigger most frequently reported with beneficial effects...

Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro Technique (also called the Pomodoro Timer) is an approach to managing the stress from school, studying, or from any heavy workload.

The Pomodoro Technique breaks down our work or study schedule typically into 25-minute intervals followed by 5 minutes of rest or a 5-minute break in-between. Learn more about the Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro Technique supports time management and reaching our work or study goals in positive ways. Its interval approach enables us to plan our work tasks better and reduce our stress and anxiety—especially when it comes to deadlines.

Although originally designed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s using a kitchen timer, the Pomodoro Technique has expanded to include ambient videos that incorporate the timer.

Explore the videos below and see if the Pomodoro Technique is a right tool for your toolbox!
